1 3 awards for the Netherlands at the 2nd World Leisure Expo in Hangzhou
On 18 November 2011, the 2nd World Leisure Expo was successfully closed in Hangzhou after the duration of 63 days. The Netherlands was represented at this expo with a booth in the main thematic building. The Dutch booth, designed by a Dutch design company – Totems Communication & Architecture, received many positive reactions due to its cheerful, creative and sustainable characters. The Dutch booth has won the Best Show Award, the Best Design Award and the International Friendship Award.

On November 18 the China Daily and the Shanghai Daily have published interviews with Dutch Consul General in Shanghai, Mr. Peter Potman.
3 Visit Dutch State Secretary and business delegation to China
Invited by the Chinese Ministry of Water Resources, Mr. Joop Atsma, the State Secretary of The Netherlands Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment has paid an official visit to China ( Shanghai, Bengbu and Beijing) from 14 till 18 November. The Dutch business representatives from the industry of Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS), Airports and Aviation, Environmental Technologies, Sustainable energy and biomass, Water Technology and Delta Technology have joined this visit.
4 Design Award for Studio Roosegaarde
Dutch Studio Roosegaarde of artist and designer Daan Roosegaarde has won China’s “Most Successful Design Award 2011” with his artwork called “Dune”.
5 Dutch Design Day at 100% Design in Shanghai
“100% Design” has been hold from 3 to 5 November in Shanghai Exhibition Center. The Dutch Design Fashion Architecture Programme (DDFA) in cooperation with the Dutch Design Workspace Shanghai organized a Dutch Design Day on November 4th.
